Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)

SAAM was first observed April 1, 2001 and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center promotes national unity for SAAM activities.

The teal ribbon is associated with sexual violence prevention and SAAM. Every year SAVA collaborates with community members, organizations and businesses to put together events to raise awareness about sexual violence throughout the month of April.

Together, we can listen, believe, and support survivors in our shared community.
