Advocacy
When someone has experienced sexual violence, trying to figure out what to do or where to go can feel overwhelming.
That’s where SAVA advocates come in.
SAVA Advocates provide immediate and ongoing emotional support, safety planning, and resource connection in the aftermath. Whether the victimization occurred hours, days, weeks, months, or years ago, SAVA Advocates are committed to listening, believing, and supporting.
SAVA’s advocacy services are confidential and available in English and Spanish. Advocacy services are offered to survivors of all ages and for non-offending loved ones who have also been impacted by sexual violence in Larimer and Weld Counties.
24/7 Crisis Hotline
SAVA Center offers a 24-hour crisis hotline to survivors of sexual violence ages 3 and up and their loved ones. Survivors who need help can reach out any time, day or night, in a way that feels safe. Hotline advocates are committed to listening, believing, and supporting the survivor and their loved ones, while also connecting them with SAVA services such as crisis intervention, advocacy, and individual/group therapy. The crisis hotline is completely confidential, meaning information cannot be disclosed without the survivor’s express, written permission, and callers may choose to remain anonymous.
Advocacy
SAVA Center advocates walk alongside survivors as they navigate the aftermath of sexual violence victimization. The SAVA Advocate helps the survivor navigate the criminal justice system, the civil justice system, and all the ways the victimization has impacted their life – their ability to get an education, go to work, their housing situation, their safety, and so much more.
Survivors can get connected to an advocate by calling the 24-hour crisis hotline and requesting an advocate. If you prefer to meet with an advocate in-person, you can come to our Fort Collins office Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm, or the Greeley Office Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5pm.
