Community-Based Education Programs

SAVA Center offers community-based education programs as part of our ongoing effort to increase awareness about sexual violence and how to respond to survivors.

SAVA also participates in health fairs, community events, and more to raise awareness of the services that are available in Northern Colorado.

  • A small group of professional adults sits in a bright room during a training or workshop, listening attentively toward an off-camera speaker. Several attendees hold notebooks, while a projector and laptop are blurred in the foreground.

    Foundations of Support: For Professionals

Training that offers a foundational understanding of sexual violence, trauma responses, self-care, and how to support survivors.

  • A large crowd mingles in a warmly lit event lobby during a formal reception, with guests gathered around a busy bar and talking in small groups. The space feels lively and elegant, with many attendees dressed in cocktail or evening attire.

    Raise the Bar

Training for people in the service industry that covers sexual violence, bystander intervention, and consent. By participating in the training, businesses make a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe environment for patrons and staff.

  • A person in a white blazer types at a computer desk in a dimly lit office. A monitor, keyboard, phone, and takeaway coffee cup are visible, creating a focused workplace scene.

    Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Training that describes sexual harassment in the workplace, explains the difference between sexual assault and harassment, and offers guidance on how to best support survivors.

  • Two people face each other outdoors, smiling and laughing in a close, joyful moment. An older man in a light gray shirt leans in toward a younger man with developmental delays wearing a maroon cap and shirt, whose hands are raised near his chest.

    SOAR for Support Systems

Training for caregivers and professionals who support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) discusses increased risk factors for sexual violence, preventative caretaking practices, and how to support survivors with IDD.

  • A teal awareness ribbon appears against a clean background as a simple visual symbol of support for survivors of sexual violence and commitment to prevention and education.

    SV 101

Training that brings awareness to sexual violence, and increases understanding of consent, bystander intervention, and how to support survivors of sexual violence.

  • A line of people stands side by side in a dim room with their hands raised in a shared moment of reflection or prayer. The focus is on open hands and body language, creating a quiet, reverent atmosphere.

    SV 101 for Faith Leaders

Training designed for faith leaders that increases awareness of sexual violence within the faith community, and includes best practice recommendations to support survivors of sexual violence.
