What is SAVA?

The SAVA (Sexual Assault Victim Advocate) Center is a private non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the needs of sexual assault survivors in Larimer County. We are the local rape crisis center. We strive to reduce sexual violence in Larimer County through our various services.

Vision

We envision a community where every person is aware of SAVA resources. The community has the capacity to provide services to all affected by sexual violence and shift community paradigms ultimately eliminiating sexual violence.

Mission

SAVA's mission is to provide crisis intervention, advocacy and counseling for all those affected by sexual violence and provide prevention programs through community outreach and education.

SAVA is comprised of specially trained victim advocates who are on-call 24 hours a day for emergency services or to answer your questions about sexual assault.

SAVA is a member of Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), the National Victim Center in Washington , D.C. , the Colorado Organization of Victim's Assistance (COVA), the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA), and the Sexual Assault Resource Team (SART) of Larimer County . SAVA has been assisting victim/survivors, their family and friends since 1976.

SAVA works with, not for, the criminal justice system, the medical therapeutic community and other public & private agencies to provide seamless services to sexual assault survivors.

SAVA Services include:

  • Information and support needed to make informed decisions and take positive action.
  • Personal advocacy and assistance with accessing medical information and counseling resources.
